You, I and Sparky : Portrait shoot with a pet to mark a decade of togetherness

A portrait shoot with their pet dog on the couple’s 10th wedding anniversary.

There are special couple portrait shoots, and then there are extra special portrait shoots. This June, I got this beautiful portrait photo shoot request on a couple’s 10th wedding anniversary.

Mrinal and Bonnie were celebrating a decade of togetherness. And Sparky, their 11-year-old pet dog a.k.a youngest family member, has been a witness to this journey all the way. It was natural that Sparky had to be a part of this 10th wedding anniversary portrait shoot. In other words, this was also a family portrait shoot than just being a couple portrait shoot.

The location of this shoot was their villa in one of Bangalore’s pretty gated community townships. Most of the shoot was held in and around the villa. Some of the portraits were made in the lawns and park located within the same township.

We made several portraits that evening. And Sparky was a subject in almost all the photographs. Without Sparky, the frame would have been an incomplete picture, ain’t it?
