I always look forward to photographing love stories that translate into intimate weddings. Something charming about these intimate weddings where people are so warm. And when the wedding venue exuberates the same amount of warmth and intimacy, then it is a perfect complement to the love story. I am glad that I was trusted to photograph this wedding at The Sommer House in Bangalore.
Dhanya and Karthik’s intimate wedding was elegant in all respects. The decor and lighting were minimal and elegant, and they complimented the venue. The main ceremonies and the reception were held at a colonial bandstand surrounded by a lawn. This was also a culturally diverse wedding with a touch of both Tamil and Kerala wedding customs. And even with this ‘tale of two states’ complexity, the itinerary was planned to perfection.
The Sommer house also has a collection of vintage cars that form the perfect backdrop for some timeless couple portraits too. We ensured that we never let go of this opportunity and got to spend a quality time making portraits of the couple.
It has been a while since I photographed this wedding, but I still remember it so vividly. Thank you Dhanya and Karthik for giving me the honor of photographing your wedding.
Here is a gallery of selected photographs from this wedding.
