A lot of weddings in India take place at conventional halls and auditoriums which are specifically built for weddings. But, then there are also many destination weddings that are held at unconventional locations like beaches and other outdoor locations. Here is a wedding that I photographed at the lawns of Golden Palms Spa & Resort, a destination wedding venue on the outskirts of Bangalore city.
The couple was Rakshitha and Sagar. Both are event management professionals from Canada. Being from the events background, the couple knew what they exactly wanted for their dream wedding. A culturally diverse South Indian Hindu wedding ceremony held outdoors in the lush green lawns with an intimate gathering of family and friends, followed by a late evening wedding reception by the poolside.
A good thought had gone into making an elegant set for the ceremonial mandap and as well as the stage for the reception. Kudos to the couple and their family for it!
