There are some venues that I love and coincidentally I am commissioned to photograph multiple weddings there every year. Maybe, these venues are favorite among the couples too.
Ganjam Mantapa on Bull Temple road, near Basavanagudi, in Bangalore is one such wedding destination. I have had the honor of being the wedding photographer at this venue time and again. Ganjam is a perfect venue for an intimate wedding. Here, is one such intimate and beautiful wedding that I photographed during the last year.
Harsha and Srinath, the couple from two different states of India, had their culturally diverse wedding at Ganjam. The ceremony was a south Indian Tamil brahmin wedding ceremony held during the day. It was followed by an informal wedding reception in the evening where the couple moved across the venue meeting and greeting an intimate gathering of family and friends, and this was quite unconventional when compared to most of the wedding receptions that are typically held in South Indian wedding halls.
An intimate guest list, expressive people, unconventional itinerary, and some surprises led to some memorable candid photographs during this wedding. I am grateful to the couple as they prioritized their wedding photography and gave me enough time to make their portraits against the backdrop of elegant architecture and decor of the Ganjam Mantapa.
Here is a gallery showcasing the highlights of this wedding. Click on the thumbnails to view the gallery in a full-screen lightbox.
