One of the reasons I love to shoot Indian weddings is for its intrinsic cultural show of customs, traditions and rituals. And the experience of photographing a wedding gets even better when the wedding ceremony has multiple or diverse cultural influences. Here is one beautiful wedding where the couple had two different wedding ceremonies on the same day. The couple had an Hindu Arya Samaj wedding ceremony in the day, followed by a traditional Kodava/Coorgi community wedding ceremony in the evening. This post showcases the highlights from the Arya Samaj wedding ceremony.
The Tamarind tree is one of the most popular wedding destinations in Bangalore. Located off Kanakapura road, the property is located in a five-acre garden. It is a beautiful venue with brilliant backdrops from a pond, and lush green lawns, to a lot of vintage architecture. The setting makes for some timeless wedding photographs. I have shot quite a few weddings and Destination Portrait photographs at Tamarind Tree Bangalore at this venue. No wonder, Tamarind Tree was a perfect setting for the couple, Adithi & Rathan’s culturally rich wedding.
There is something charming about weddings held in the lawns and similar off-beat destination wedding locations, where the ambient light can be made the best use of in making photographs. Tamarind tree has always been once such light friendly setting for any contemporary wedding photographer.
Find below in this gallery, the photographs showcasing the Arya Samaj wedding ceremony of the day. The Kodava/Coorgi wedding gallery will be showcased in an upcoming post.
