When Clients Inspire A Wedding Photographer

Thinking Outside the box, fresh ideas and innovations inspire me. And I guess it inspires others too. As a photographer, I seek inspiration from the world around me, and also from the subjects I work on. And when the people whom I photograph come out with innovations themselves, then the inspiration has a greater effect.… Continue reading When Clients Inspire A Wedding Photographer

Photographer Visiting Card Design

How to add Jetpack Portfolio Custom Post Type into WordPress – Part 1

I have been maintaining a self-hosted WordPress site for my photography portfolio and blog for some years now. Broadly speaking, the user content (text, images, gallery, video, etc) displayed on WordPress sites could broadly be pushed into either WordPress Pages or Posts. I always believes that conceptually Portfolio was something different from both, the Page… Continue reading How to add Jetpack Portfolio Custom Post Type into WordPress – Part 1

A Photo Book for someone you love

Cover Page of the self-published photo Book - "It's All About Her". I designed and published this through Blurb.com . This was a surprise gift for my wife. Personalised Photo Books do make a great gift.

I have an old suitcase at home. It contains stacks of picture albums with photographs of our family, friends and relatives. The newest album in the… Continue reading A Photo Book for someone you love

Personal stories in Photo Books

There are #stories everywhere. Some stories are #personal while many could be news worthy and headline grabbing. I always loved stories that have a personal touch to them. Some of my #documentary projects utilized a style where I followed the lives of few individuals to highlight larger issues. I made myself an #embedded #journalist rather than a passive observer. With a protagonist being at the center of the story, the audience can be effectively drawn into the #heart of the #story. I have always found it to be an effective style to communicate deeper issues. Anyway, here is extending that style to some personal projects. The subject here is my wife. And this #photo #book project was intended to #gift her something #special while introspecting our early years together. The subject of #Love and the #lover are both an #inspiration for many #photographers. I am no exception .
